Gefat – the Society for Active Teilhabe

As a young NGO based in Hamburg, Germany, we advocate real opportunities for active participation in societal processes and organization and advance such opportunities by conducting projects and offering supporting services.

We are committed to the advance of active Teilhabe, a concept that implies participation but means more. We conceive of Teilhabe as involving people's chance to effectively take part in decision-making, including the design of the rules of a game. Encouraging people to develop visions of their personal perspective in the future of their social surrounding, our consistent participatory approach to organizational and project development makes diversity a source of innovation for companies, public institutions and civil society.
